Grandma Susie
Susan Tartaglia, better known by her pseudonym ‘Grandma Susie,’ moved from the east coast to California in 1990. She began a 20-year career as a Middle School Language Arts, History, and Reading Teacher, adding two MA Ed degrees with Reading Certification to her resume. She retired in 2010 to look after her mom in South Carolina, where Susie began a second career as an Educational Consultant, Trainer, and Coach for an interactive reading program for struggling readers in several school districts in the Southeast Region. She returned to California in 2015, continuing her work as a consultant for Teachers in Southern California.
Grandma Susie is blessed to have seven amazing grandchildren who inspire and motivate her to write contemporary realistic fiction children’s books, The Little Bug Catcher, as ‘Grandma Susie.’ She can write about their different personalities and interests and connect with children everywhere. Susie believes all children have unique stories to tell and adventures to experience as they explore and learn about the world around them.
The Little
Bug Catcher
This is a simple story about a little boy playing and exploring his backyard in search of bugs! He watches, chases, and catches bugs and insects of all kinds that live in his yard. His infatuation with bugs, insects, and his favorite spiders is something that so many children can relate to as they love playing outdoors, too. If you’re looking for the charm of children’s books on outdoor adventure, this story captures the essence perfectly.
